Native wild plums make up the main ingredient in this extra tart and tangy fruit butter. Also known as Mexican Plums, these native trees are one of the first to bloom in the spring with a profusion of white flowers! We harvest the small blushy purple fruits in late summer/autum and combine with sugar and pectin to make a supurbly tart butter! Enjoy this butter on toast with honey, top thumb print cookies, or add a drizzle into your iced tea for a puckering pick me up!
